Assistant Treasurer

Position Term: Two (2) Years

Primary Responsibilities:

Plans and implements procedures to control, monitor, report and train Trustees and Tellers in the
preparation of church bank deposits of all tithes and offerings.
Reconcile all Teller reports against bank deposit slips and make note of discrepancies
or unique occurances and report them to the Trustees.
Order and distribute offering envelopes to all members.
Maintain individual giving records for members who use envelopes and or checks.
Assumes all duties of the Treasurer in his or her absence absence or incapcitation.
Maintain and update the deposit procedure documents for Tellers and Trustees.
Make recommendations for improving procedures and controls.
Assist in development of plans, budgets and reporting to monitor the church's progress towards it's goal.
Report all deposits by fund and special offering totals to the Trustee Board on a monthly basis.
Submit reports at semi-annual and annual business meetings.
